The Festival of Lights is a community event put on by the community, for the community, and supported by the community. This means there are multiple ways YOU can help!
Volunteer - we are always looking for volunteers leading up to the festival or the day of. Whether you are an individual, family, or group - we need your help! Check out our volunteer needs and sign up by clicking here.

Honor the memory of a loved one this holiday season by purchasing a string of lights in their name. This string will help us light up downtown Belgrade during this year's event and in years to come.
Your loved one's name will also be listed on the memorial tribute area on our website, at the Special Events Center, and in a special honor section of the Belgrade News before Christmas.
Our vision is to grow the number of memorial light strings in the town each year. This year, the memorial lights will be hung on the trees lining Main Street in front of the City of Belgrade parking lot. We hope all of you will join us in thinking of the angels who are watching over us during the holidays and always when you take in these special lights.
Memorial lights are $20 per person and each person will be represented by a string of lights during the Festival of Lights. If you purchased lights previously and would like to sponsor in memory of the same person again, there is a discounted continuation price of $10 per string.
Churches and Nonprofits
We know no community event is complete without the organizations that serve the community.
Each year we invite local churches and nonprofits to be the focus of our downtown festivities. 4-H clubs, youth groups, service organizations, many of our local churches, and more set up booths and provide complimentary refreshments such as warm drinks, soup, cookies, bars, popcorn, or other tasty snacks.

Calling all lovers of holiday music! Whether your a school music class, a team who loves to sing, girlfriends getting together, or anyone in between - We need YOU!
This year, we have two opportunities for you to share your voice during the Festival of Lights!
Option 1: Showcase your group on stage at the High School Special Event Center while the audience wanders through the vendor booths, visits with Santa, or votes on their favorite gingerbread house. If this sounds like your ideal place to share your talents, call or text Jessi at 579-3628 to get signed up.
Option 2: If your idea of holiday music is bundling up and strolling the streets caroling your favorite holiday songs, then we would love to have you join us downtown! Call or text Jane at 406-581-5141 to let her know you are interested.
Gingerbread House Contest
Registration is now open for the third annual Festival of Lights Gingerbread House Contest! Enter in one of these categories for your chance to be the 2019 champion:
Littles (preschool through age 7)
Kiddos (ages 8 through 12)
Teens (ages 13 through senior in high school)
Adult (post high school)

One Stop Holiday Shop

Start off the Festival of Lights morning right with a fun 5K for runners and walkers alike!
After the fun run, stick around for the Kiwanis breakfast, vendor shopping, live holiday music, and much more.
Race entry is $20 and the proceeds go to the Festival of Lights.
Racers are encouraged to dress festive for an opportunity to win prizes.
